Fiction Writer
Part mystery, part misadventure and as dry as the desert air.
Noir fiction from the off-strip roads of Las Vegas.
There's a version of Las Vegas that exists in the imagination — louder than the real one, stranger, more desperate — and Dave Baylis has been living there for years.
A career as a data scientist gave him a useful education in the gap between how things appear and how they actually are, and his fiction lives on those off-strip roads.
The Man with the Blue Suede Shoes is his debut novella and the first book in his series, The Kings of Clark County.
He is based in the UK. He writes whenever the opportunity presents itself, which is never quite enough.
